About Peter
Where it all began, Peter is the original salon owner, starting the business in 1996. Manager, Peter created a business model that continues to provide high-standard hairdressing to all members of the community. Now taking more of a background role, handing the reigns to daughter Charlotte, Peter remains to feature in the salon, acting as an experienced guide and assisting in the managerial role for part of the week. Here’s something from Peter…. ‘My plans for retirement and the formal handing over of the business, lock, stock and barrel, are complete, but for my brief appearances in the salon. So, with that, I look forward to spending more time socialising with my partner in crime, Jackie, generally taking it easy visiting old and new places of interest both at home and abroad. I am proud to have been a big part in the success of the business, but equally happy to be passing the mantle over to Charlotte, presenting her with the opportunity of taking HOH forward.’
Charlotte
About Charlotte
Chief manager, Charlotte, takes care of the day-to-day running of the salon. A business that has been a big part of her life for 26 years, Charlotte has a genuine passion for Hooked on Hair. Charlotte also takes care of all social media platforms, ensuring the team’s hairdressing excellence is spread far and wide! A few words from Charlotte….. ‘I live in the village and all three of my children attend local schools, so the community of Hook is important to me. Away from the salon, I spend lots of time with my husband, and growing children, who are always up for trying new things! I have a busy family life, with all of my children playing for Hartley Wintney FC, so I am often shivering at the sidelines, cheering them on! I feel very passionate about the salon, and with a great team of employees behind me, I am certain we have a very bright future ahead of us here at HOH!’
Jackie
About Jackie
Customer service manager, Jackie, takes the lead on providing all that is needed for a premium in-salon experience. On hand to meet customers upon arrival, Jackie offers refreshments and reading material for a relaxing appointment. Jackie plays a crucial part in the upkeep of the salon, making sure each section is sanitised and cleaned between services. Customer care is a priority to Jackie, and is a task she excels in. Jackie says…. ‘I thoroughly enjoy looking after customers as they arrive at the salon, particularly those that visit frequently, making sure their preferred refreshment is ready and waiting for them. Outside of the salon, and coming from a musical family, I enjoy listening to all kinds of music. Otherwise, if I am not taking care of my Grandson, Oscar, you may find me socialising in and around Church Crookham, Fleet and Farnham. Some people may say they hear me before they see me….Rock’N’Roll!’
Jo
About Jo
Our longest standing stylist, Jo, is a hairdressing traditionalist, who can create modern looks, traditional cuts and advanced styles, and has been involved in HOH life for over 23 years. Jo takes the title of Senior Style Director and is also the salon’s Perm Technician. Her skills spread across the board, with a high level of experience in unisex cutting, colouring, setting, perming, styling and hair up. Jo says…. ‘I enjoy spending free time at the Theatre watching shows such as ‘The Lion King’ and ‘Footloose’ with my daughter. You will also find me spending winter mornings at the sideline cheering on my son’s football team.’
Kate
About Kate
Having previously owned and managed her own salon, Kate shines at her position of Artistic Director. An experienced colourist, Kate recently completed an advanced Freehand Colouring Course at Schwarzkopf Academy. With 24 years hairdressing experience behind her, Kate does not shy away from any challenge, taking on advanced cuts, gents styling and events looks, as well as the more traditional blow drying, perming and sets. Kate says…… ‘In my time away from the salon, you will often find me at the gym or being kept active by my two young step sons! I have a passion for equestrian life and the art of tattoos. In the Salon I enjoy being creative and producing exciting new looks!’
Nicola
About Nicola
Style director, Nicola, has developed her hairdressing career in local salons for the last 20 years. Nicola has a master skill in the art of foiling, which she is highly commended on, both by clients and her colleagues. A ladies hairdresser, Nicola’s ability in all cuts and styling is of a high standard and her client base continues to grow. Here’s a bit from Nicola…… ‘Although I now live in South Warnborough, I grew up in Hook, and have worked at HOH, on and off, since I was 18. A mum to 3 means I don’t get much time to myself, but when I do I love to read and I am a complete Netflix junkie!’
Sophie
About Sophie
Part time Style Director, Sophie, splits her life between HOH and the sky, also working as an air stewardess for Virgin. Sophie has previously worked in Salons across Windsor and brings 20 years hairdressing knowledge to the team. Unisex stylist, Sophie, is a master in all things cutting, and, in addition to this, she is one of the salon’s Balayage/Freehand Specialists. Sophie adds…. ‘I originally worked for Peter, in Windsor, when I was just 18. Many years later, I joined the team here in Hook. I have always been a social girl, and although the partying is less intense, now that I am a married mum to a wild 3 year old, I still enjoy getting glammed up to spend nights out with friends. My life involves a lot of travel, and I love that my job at Virgin gives me the opporuinty to jet set as much as possible, yet my part time role at HOH allows me to continue putting my creative hairdressing skills into action!’
Harriet
About Harriet
Having grown up in a Hairdressing family, Harriet definitely has the talent in her blood! Taking a Colour Master role in the salon, Harriet acts as an advisor on the large majority of our colour work, as well as creating many Bridal and Events looks. Her creative eye and vast colour knowledge is highly acclaimed, and her unisex cutting and blow dry skills finish the job impressively! Harriet says….. ‘I have lived in Hook for the last 6 years, and from the day we moved here, I decided this was the perfect place to raise a family, now my sassy daughter, aged 4, attends Hook Village Nursery. We are soon to move to the new Green Hart Park estate, following a big renovation project on our current home. As a family, we like to eat out and enjoy takeaways, so I am your go to girl for food recommendations! On a typical family day out we like to visit the coast, as we all love being at the beach. Hairdressing is a real passion of mine, but in particular, I have a real interest in the art of colour work.’

About Bridget
As a member of the HOH team for over 20 years, Bridget has a well established clientele. Her precise cutting skills and experience in the field allow her to tackle difficult hair types with ease, producing styling of a master level. Artistic Director, Bridget, plays a crucial role in our training programme, passing her vast knowledge onto younger stylists. Bridget creates beautiful up-dos and elegant looks for Weddings and Events. Here’s a few words from Bridget….. ‘Whilst away from creating styles in the salon, I am a devoted mum to my 2 lovely daughters and enjoy making memories with them. I love nature and spend lots of time in my allotment growing lots of fresh fruit and veg to share with friends and family.’
Aleesha
About Aleesha
Our hard-working Trainee Stylist, Aleesha, has a natural flare for the hairdressing industry, and a bubbly personality to match! Currently completing her NVQ at BCOT, she has mastered several modules of her in-salon training programme and is, at present, gaining her knowledge in foiling techniques; always on the look out for models to sit in her chair! Here’s some words from Aleesha….. ‘I am a huge music fan who loves singing, so sorry if you hear me belting out a song whilst washing your hair! I have always had a passion for hair and make-up and will spend hours watching tutorials online. My developing career excites me and I look forward to learning new hairdressing skills!’

About Alice
New Apprentice, Alice, has joined the salon team recently. Alice is just beginning her college course at BCOT, having completed her GCSEs at Robert Mays School. Alice is an enthusiastic learner and hopes her hairdressing career will allow her creative talent to shine! Alice says ‘I would describe myself as a hard working, team player and I am willing to give anything a go! The things I enjoy most about salon life is how we work together to make everything run smoothly for our clients. When outside of work i enjoy spending time with friends and family.’
Tetiana
About Tetiana
Style Director. Tetiana, now a resident in Hook, is from Ukraine, and as for many others like her in our community, she is building a new life in the UK after escaping the devastating effects of war and the Russian occupation of her home town. Following several trial days at the salon, Tetiana has proven herself an undeniable talent, with her technical ability in colouring, cutting and blow drying. Although presently taking lessons to learn English, Tetiana has only limited spoken ability, relying on the use of visual aids and translation apps to assist with any communication issues she experiences. However, we aim to alleviate any initial difficulties she has through providing additional support and by that, ensuring we continue to maintain our usual standards of customer service. We hope you all will join with us in welcoming Tetiana to the Hooked on Hair family, as we help her to build a new career here in England for herself and two young children. Here’s a few words from Tetiana…….’I came to England in August 2022 with my two daughters aged 8 and 9 then to escape the war in Ukraine. I really love my profession. I realize that I don’t speak English, so my first step was to start learning the language and I’m still learning it. So, about my career. I chose Hairdressing, because I consider it creative. I studied from the age of 18, graduated a year later, then started working in a salon in my hometown, but never stopped learning, attending all kinds of training and master classes. After working in the salon for 4 years, I decided to open a salon with a partner where I worked for 6 years. In 2011, I came to the decision to open my own salon, where I employed 5 other people. I’m really passionate about hairdressing as I love to create new styles and I’m really looking forward to joining the team at Hooked on Hair!’
Megan

Stylist, Megan, joins our team this week, having completed her training and qualification at Headmasters in Windsor. Megan loves meeting new people and enjoys salon life, as each day brings something new! Focusing on highlighting work and balayage, Megan feels colouring is her forte, and that creating perfect blondes is a real talent of hers! Outside of the salon, Megan loves spending time with family, and is actually a relative of our popular Senior Style Director, Sophie. Megan says ‘I’m super excited to be starting at Hooked on Hair, in a new talented team and encouraging environment, that will allow me to grow and develop my hairdressing skills. I look forward to meeting you all soon!’
